Location Favorites: Village Gate

Village gate in the Neighborhood of the Arts (NOTA) in downtown Rochester is, in my opinion, the best option for fun indoor pictures (without having to pay a fee for use). The village gate is a old warehouse building that has been turned into an area filled with many different restaurants, tenants, offices and shops. From a photography standpoint there are so many interesting and detailed backgrounds both inside the building and out in the courtyard. Upstairs there are many types of stairs, benches and beautiful sculptures and statues. The walls are all different colors or patterns and the wide open space makes running breaks for little kids super easy! Downstairs there is a beautiful wooden wall along with other stairs. There is even a bakery which makes for great bribery if needed! haha

Definitely a fun place to explore either for photos or just in general!

The courtyard makes for such a fun background. Great for groups of all sizes!
